Berkeley City Club Wedding | Dan and Paige's Wedding Teaser
This was such an exciting wedding to shoot. Confession time for Evan. I actually LOVED shooting this wedding. As a busy bay area wedding photographer, I rarely get the chance to shoot a friend's wedding, not to mention a close friend. I've known Dan, the groom, since college. In fact, he introduced me to the woman who would later become my lovely wife. So needless to say, this wedding was a treat for me to be a part of. Even if the couple lacked that personal history with me, their wedding would still have been a blast.
Dan and Paige got ready at the Berkeley City Club and then had their first look on the UC Berkeley campus. Their wedding ceremony was in the glass-walled sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley. The couple surprised their guests by having the Cal Berkeley Marching Band greet everyone outside on the church's sanctuary patio. The couple's exit strategy included the blaring horns and crashing cymbals of the best marching band on earth (yes, that's a completely biased statement, GO BEARS!).
Their reception at the Berkeley City Club was punctuated by classic decor, amazing music, and incredible people. We took advantage of the City Club's stunning architecture and ambiance. The library made a perfect backdrop for a vogue-styled group portrait while the garden lent its quite corners to romantic couple shots.
