Jenni & Gabe's Wedding | Berkeley Memorial Stadium
Jenni and Gabe's marriage vows made history from the plaza of Berkeley's Memorial Stadium. They are the first couple to ever have their nuptials held at the UC Berkeley's football stadium! Given the Stadium's recent gorgeous renovations, it's not hard to see this venue becoming one of the hottest in the Bay Area. From the entryway plaza, to the Cal student cheering section, and up to the banquet room above the press box, the stadium is a stunning piece of architecture and an ideal place to get married.
Surrounding by loved ones, Jenni and Gabe tied the knot amidst the dramatic scenery of the stadium's lush plaza. The recessional's confetti poppers fueled the party atmosphere and fanned everyone's excitement. The couple's energy was electric and we had an amazing time photographing all over the stadium.
The bride and groom rendezvoused with their friends and family at the reception which was located at the very top of the stadium's press box. The banquet hall was a long room with walls of windows that ran the length of both sides. You could look out one side to see the Cal football field or go to balcony side to experience the jaw-dropping view of the bay. The only obstructions to the view were the Berkeley International House's beautiful dome and Berkeley's iconic Campanile.
The reception included hula dancing from young family members, eloquent toasts, (my favorite) raucous bouquet and garter tosses! The crowd really "threw" themselves into the festivities. Thanks so much for making me a part of the celebration!
